Right from the time I was in school, I have had an immense fascination for anime. And that led to my (almost) obsession with Japanese culture. It all started with Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. But when I watched Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X for all you English dub lovers) for the first time, I was fascinated with the way the city of Kyoto was portrayed in the anime. And so I began researching the city, its current form and the long history associated with it. Since then, from time to time, I've had these dreams about the city. Sometimes they were associated with historical events and sometimes with the modern era. But in all, they were always so vivid that I could literally feel the profound beauty and heritage of Kyoto within me.
Through DREAMS OF KYOTO, I have tried to provide a soundtrack for the nature of the dreams I have of Kyoto.
