It is a common thing to be asked to choose between the hustle and bustle of city life, and the serene atmosphere of an isolated place. Even I have been given the same choice multiple times. And the answer for me is always the same. I would always choose city life over an isolated place any given day; not because I love the materialistic comforts (I actually do love them) but because, in a city, you get to interact with so many kinds of people and get to know their stories.
That being said, "New York Diaries" is my tribute to New York city. The album is inspired by my travels, and the experiences I had, during my brief stay in the city in 2016.

This album is dedicated to my friend Candy Lozier (owner of New York-based label, Studio 4632) who passed away recently due to lung cancer. I will double the amount received from the album sales and donate it to the Indian Cancer Society. This is just my way of preserving Candy's memory and fighting the dreadful disease that is cancer.
